2019 sees the launch of a unique MSc in Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products at the University of Manchester, with students enrolled and ready to begin their course in the coming weeks!
Advanced therapies represent a specialised field within experimental therapeutics which have specific requirements relating to safety, efficacy, exposure and conduct. This MSc was established to ensure the researchers of tomorrow have access to ATMP experts, from industry, academia and the NHS, to build the necessary skills and understanding across varying disciplines from bench side to patient delivery, forming the basis for a career in advanced therapies.
This course is currently offered through a laboratory or clinical based research pathway with a range of optional modules across a diverse range of ATMP indications to suit individual preference and drive. To aid personal preference this is being offered on a full or part time basis.
Through iMATCH, Innovate UK (IUK) bursaries of £10,000 have been awarded to this year’s intake and all applicants have progressed through the associated interview phase and are set to commence their learnings this September.
