Harmonised Working: how the Northern Alliance Advanced Therapies Treatment Centre supports effective collaboration between NHS and Industry
A key aim of the Northern Alliance Advanced Therapies Treatment Centre (NA-ATTC) has been to understand the experiences of its NHS clinical sites and industry partners when working with each other. To inform this, data were collected via a lessons learned audit issued to relevant NA-ATTC stakeholders involved in Advanced Therapy (AT) clinical trial set-up and delivery. In particular the work focused on three key phases of the AT lifecycle; Feasibility, Site Set-up and Trial Delivery, with each centre being asked to provide feedback on “what has worked well”, “what did not work well” and “what could be done differently in future.”
The recently launched brochure, Harmonised Working: how NA-ATTC supports effective collaboration between NHS and Industry, showcases the NA-ATTC’s response to the results of the audit and recommendations to support both NHS and Industry in overcoming the identified hurdles. As the experiences of Industry and NHS sites captured transcend the boundaries of the NA-ATTC region the brochure’s recommendations are believed to be applicable nationally.
