Delivery of adoptive cell therapy in the context of the health-care system in the UK: challenges for clinical sites

Members of iMATCH have published an overview of the delivery of Adoptive Cell Therapy (ACT) in the UK health care system in the open access journal Therapeutic Advances in Vaccines and Immunotherapy.

The article describes the recent, rapid expansion of academic and commercial activity in the field which is successfully translating research in Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) into the clinic. The challenges associated with delivering ACT, and the UK strategy to optimize the roll-out of these exciting new therapies through the Advanced Therapy Treatment Centre network, are discussed.
