This event took place on 11th October and was to inform the audience about the ATMP journey from concept to commercialisation – looking at regulatory hot topics for both GMP and GCP, challenges to hospital implementation, the role of Pharmacy, the role of the ATTC, ways to address the QP expertise deficit and give a forum for networking and discussion. The event, chaired by Neil Watson, co-Director of the NAATTC, was fully subscribed and received excellent feedback from attendees.

Anne Black, who organised the event and presented in her capacity as Chair of the ATMP Working Party (a subgroup of the NHS Pharmacy QA Committee) said:

“The timing of the event was excellent given the recent announcements re CAR-T therapies and there was a real buzz in the room. There was also widespread acknowledgement of the importance of the role of pharmacy in providing system leadership for ATMPs.”
