Anne Black’s contribution to Pharmacy, including around Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), was recently recognised by an invitation to present the Annual Hope Winch Memorial Lecture in celebration of 100 years of Pharmacy at Sunderland University.

Her insightful lecture on 15th October entitled The Evolution of Personalised Medicine and Innovative Medicines, focussed on the prospect of targeted therapies and bespoke ATMPs which offer real alternatives to patients in some previously incurable indications. Anne also explored the unique skillset of the pharmacist which remains important in the delivery of personalised medicine to ensure safe and appropriate implementation of innovative medicines.
