Gene therapies have the potential to be a life-changing treatment option for patients. As the spread and scale of these therapies increase processes by which patients are referred for treatment must be optimised to maximise opportunities for clinical sites to deliver treatment.
At present the processes for patients receiving gene therapy are variable relying upon local infrastructure and specialist knowledge rather than accepted, standardised best practice.
