As part of NA-ATTC’s work focusing on logistics and the ATMP supply chain, a comprehensive document Tracking and storage considerations to maintain parameters during shipping & storage for different products has been produced by Neil Ridley, Consultant Project Director for ThermoFisher Scientific. This resource was developed in collaboration with subject matter experts from Cytiva (Bill Shingleton, Director, Applications and Biology – Cell and Gene Therapy and Julie Meneghel, Cryobiologist), TrakCel (Matthew Lakelin, VP Business Development and Scientific Affairs) and World Courier (Kelly Frend, Personalised Supply Chain Manager).
The document provides insight into the complexity of the supply chain and the logistics areas that need consideration when developing an ATMP supply strategy, including chain of identity, chain of custody and shipping and storage aspects.
