A highly informative virtual forum to discuss CAR T patient identification and care, organised by Kite (a Gilead company) with support from NA-ATTC, was held on 09Jul20. The purpose of this meeting was to disseminate information to centres that refer patients to specialist centres commissioned to deliver licenced CAR T therapies. Dr Tobias Menne, Consultant Haematologist at The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, lead this interactive session for North East based hospitals that refer patients to Newcastle Hospitals for treatment with these innovative medicines. Dr Menne’s presentation enabled discussion on relevant medical topics related to CAR T patient care. The workshop was also CPD accredited.
