The ATTC network was activeley represented by all three of the centres at the Advanced Therapies & Regenerative Medicine Congress in London 15-17th May. Attracting a large audience of biotech, pharma, start-ups, investors, research and technology companies from around the world, this was a chance to show what we are doing to accelerate patient access to advanced therapies in the UK. There was significant interest in what we are doing to bring together all parties within the treatment paradigm, to collaboratively develop the necessary processes, skilled staff and infrastructure at scale required as more of these treatments move into the clinic.
Dr Jacqueline Barry, Chief Clinical Officer of the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult also hosted a a panel discussion on what are the challenges of adoption and how we get there with contributions from Ian McKay from Innovate UK, the organisation funding the ATTC project and Marc Turner, co-director of the Northern Alliance ATTC amongst the panel.
