The Pharmacy Working Group, Chaired by Anne Black, Regional QA Specialist Pharmacist, North East and North Cumbria, held its annual face to face meeting in early March. The meeting included presentations from Dave Caulfield, Assistant Director of Pharmacy – QA, Newcastle Hospitals, on lessons learned from clinical trials in ATMPs, and Jackie Chappell from Kings College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust on lessons learned from marketed CAR-T implementation. There was also some excellent interactive workshop sessions with groups discussing clinical trials, operational clinical pharmacy, and regulatory and governance objectives for pharmacy work around ATMPs moving forward.

The agenda focussed on education, training and assessment for QPs, and future strategy around QPs in relation to ATMPs.
